Veteran actor Surekha Sikri has passed away following a cardiac arrest. She was 75. The actress breathed her last earlier this morning, her manager confirmed with SpotboyE.com. Surekha Sikri was suffering from complications arising from her second stroke. She was surrounded by family and caregivers, revealed her manager. Neena Gupta, Manoj Bajpayee, Randeep Hooda, Gulshan Grover, Divya Dutta, Urvashi Rautela and other actors from the film and television fraternity shared pictures of the late actress and made posts, mourning her demise.

Manoj Bajpayee took to his Twitter and tweeted, “Very Sad news !!! One of the greatest talent Surekha Sikari ji passed away leaving behind so many great performances in theatre and cinema!! She was a treat to watch on stage.can’t forget some of those memories of her act in theatre.great craft and a graceful person!! RIP”  Sidharth Shukla, who played the role of Shivraj Shekhar in the show Balika Vadhu also made a tweet. Surekha Sikri was the co-star of the Bigg Boss 13 winner in Balika Vadhu. Actor Gulshan Grover also made a tweet and said he had a great fortune of working and learning from the actress during his theatre days. Randeep Hooda made a tweet too; he shared pictures of the late actress and prayed for her soul. Actress Divya Dutta, Dia Mirza, Urmila Matondkar, Urvashi Rautela also made posts and paid tributes.

On Instagram, Neena Gupta shared a video and expressed her sadness over the demise of her Badhai Ho co-star Surekha Sikri. The actress posted the video and captioned it, “Bahut dukh hua.” In the video, Gupta spoke about how she was inspired by Surekha Sikri’s acting performances. She revealed the late veteran actress had a lot of commitment. Neena Gupta even recalled an experience while shooting Badhai Ho. Surekha Sikri had suffered a second brain stroke back in September 2020. A few weeks later, the actress was discharged from the hospital and was undergoing chemotherapy.

Surekha Sikri was known for her performances in the show Balika Vadhu, film Badhai Ho and several others. She is a three-time National Film Award winner.
